What is Kalberry?

Kalberry is a free collection of online finance and business calculator tools, organized by country. We provide calculators for Thailand, the United States, and universal tools that work regardless of location. Our tools cover taxes, loans, investments, labor law, retirement planning, and everyday business calculations.

Whether you need to estimate your Thai personal income tax, calculate US mortgage payments, or figure out compound interest on your savings, Kalberry has a purpose-built tool for you — completely free, no signup required.

Who builds Kalberry

Soravit Varanich

Founder, Kalberry — software engineer, based in Thailand

github.com/sarpound · soravit.var@gmail.com

I'm Soravit — a software engineer who got tired of calculator sites that charge for things the math says should be free. I started Kalberry in 2025 because I'd spent too many evenings building spreadsheets for friends trying to figure out their Thai income tax, compare mortgage offers, or work out whether refinancing was actually worth it. The answers existed; the tools didn't. So I built them. Every calculator here is grounded in primary sources — Revenue Department rulings for Thai tax, Ministry of Labour interpretations for severance, IRS publications for US taxes — and I update them myself when the rules change. If you spot something that looks wrong, email me. I read every message.

Let's be precise about what this is

Kalberry is a one-person project, not an agency and not a licensed advisory firm. I am a software engineer, not a tax attorney, CPA, or licensed financial adviser. What I can do is read the primary law and the official rate schedules carefully, encode them exactly, hand-check the output against worked examples, and cite the source next to every number so you can verify it yourself. Where a rule is genuinely ambiguous, the page says so rather than guessing. For filing a return or making a decision with real money at stake, take these numbers to a licensed professional.

How the numbers get verified

Every rate, bracket, and ceiling is taken from the primary source — Revenue Department notifications, Royal Gazette publications, Social Security Office announcements, IRS publications — never from another blog. Each figure is then hand-traced through at least two worked examples before the page ships.

How the software is built

Calculators are written in TypeScript and run entirely in your browser — no server, no account, no data collection. Formulas live in versioned source files, and when a statutory number changes, the change is made in one place and every page that uses it is re-checked.

Found a number that looks wrong? Email soravit.var@gmail.com with the page and the figure — corrections get priority over new features, and I usually reply within 48 hours.

Data Sources & Accuracy

We take accuracy seriously. Every calculator uses official rates, brackets, and formulas sourced directly from government and authoritative sources:

Thai Income Tax

Progressive brackets from the Revenue Department of Thailand for tax year 2026 (BE 2569)

Thai Labor Law

Severance pay and overtime rates from the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Labor Protection Act B.E. 2541 and amendments

Thai Social Security

Contribution rates from the Social Security Office (SSO) for 2026

US Federal & State Tax

IRS published tax brackets and standard deductions from irs.gov; state rates from official state revenue departments

Financial Formulas

Standard financial mathematics for compound interest, loan amortization, ROI, and other universal calculations — per CFA Institute and standard actuarial standards

Disclaimer: Our calculators provide estimates for planning purposes only. Tax laws are complex and change frequently. For final tax filings or major financial decisions, please consult a qualified CPA, tax advisor, or financial planner licensed in your jurisdiction.

Privacy by Design

All Kalberry calculators run entirely in your web browser using client-side JavaScript:

  • No data collection

The numbers you enter never leave your device. We have no servers that process or store your financial data.

  • No signup required

Just open a calculator and start using it — no accounts, no email, no personal information needed.

  • Instant results

Calculations happen locally, so results appear immediately without waiting for server responses.

  • Works offline

Once the page loads, calculators continue to work even if your internet connection drops.
